ESU 7 Google Expedition Kit - Virtual Reality for Students

ESU 7 Google Expedition Kit

The Kit includes 10 virtual reality viewers & phones, teacher Android tablet, and Router. The teacher leads the students through a Google Expedition by reading a script to guide students to particular points of interest during a tour. There are many different types of Google Expeditions to tour; such as walking through museums, taking an underwater journey on board the Nautilus in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, visiting outer space, or exploring Human Anatomy!

The Kit is available for ESU 7 Schools to check out for blocks of  1 to 2 weeks.

Google Expedition: Getting Started Tour

Here is some enthusiastic feedback from an ESU 7 school:

"Our kids were blown away by the experience of using the Google Expeditions!  All grades at Shell Creek (grades K-6) used them to experience the world up close and personal.  One of the favorites was the 'Ocean Safari'!  As myself or a staff member took them through the expedition, kids oohed and awed.  I really enjoyed listening to the little voices saying 'how cool' the experience was as it was happening.  I also enjoyed seeing the smiles of pure pleasure on their faces.

For many, they were experiencing a world that they could only imagine beforehand.  The leader was able to easily direct students to areas of the screen where discussion could take place.  The scripted format also gave the leader a plethora of information when leading the discussion.

All in all, our kids absolutely loved the opportunity.  It provided such an enriching experience and opened up a whole new world to many of them.  We'd use them again without hesitation. "
